Quilted Jacket

A mens or ladies quilted jacket is a stylish cold weather coat that comes in a variety of styles, including black leather and reversible microfiber.

When the winter time rolls around or even when you are on the brink of fall, the colder temperatures will require a warmer coat.  This is where quilted jackets can come into play.  They are thick enough to ward off breezes and harsh winter weather such as snow, but they are still comfortable to wear for even brisk fall weather.

Quilted jackets are made for men, women and children and come in a variety of sizes to suit.  A quilted jacket can be light or have a liner for even colder temperatures.  It is usually recommended that if you live in colder climates you are able to purchase a jacket that has a liner that can be removed when the temperatures begin to warm.  Quilted jackets can come with high collars, hoods, or even be longer in length.  Most quilted varieties of jackets can range in both style and colors.  You can find them in red, black, blue, gray, white, pink and even patterns such as flannel.  Always factor in how often you will be wearing your coat and the type of attire it will go with.  Though that red coat seems great, it may not match the majority of your wardrobe.

A quilted jacket will run the average consumer anywhere from $15 to over $300.  Children’s sizes are typically under $50, but there are some brands that can go above that.  Brands such as Calvin Klein, Cole Haan, Burberry and Ralph Lauren will typically cost more than other brands.  A quality quilted jacket can be purchased for under $100.  The size, material and quality of the jacket will greatly affect the price however.  If you are on a limited budget, do some shopping around and purchase your jackets at the end of winter when they tend to go on clearance to make way for the summer wardrobes.

Quilted jackets can be found anywhere outer wear or clothing is sold.  When shopping online you may want to consider looking for jackets first in person to find the right style, fit and overall colors you are looking for.  Pictures on a computer screen tend to be misleading and it can be difficult to judge just what type of jacket you are receiving when you purchase from the internet.  If you are going to do your shopping online, visit retailers such as QVC, Bluefly, Overstock, Amazon, EBay, and Fashion Bug.  When you are going to do shopping locally, visit retailers such as Sears, Kohl’s, Walmart, Target, Babies R Us,  Lands End, Nordstrom or Sears.

A quilted jacket can certainly be one of the more comfortable ways for you to get through the winter weather.  Even if you do not live in an area with a large amount of snow, the coldness that accompanies winter weather can, simply put, be harsh to go out into.  Try purchasing a quilted jacket for this cold season and see the difference it can make even in other months, such as in the late fall, when you start to get the cool breezes.
